About me

I'm a 51-year-old fitness and nutrition coach living in rural East Cork. I'm passionate about helping women feel strong, healthy and confident through midlife and beyond.

My own journey to this point hasn't been a straight line.

I've been through a stem cell transplant for lymphoma, several rounds of IVF (with one success!) and navigated the physical and emotional changes that came with menopause. There was a time when I felt I had lost a big part of myself along the way.

What helped me find my way back wasn't chasing my 30-year old self. It was discovering what my body was still capable of.

Exercise became a huge part of that.

Strength training helped me feel powerful and badass.

Sea swimming and outdoor adventures gave me energy and perspective.

Taking on triathlon challenges with new friends reminded me how important connection, laughter and having something to work towards can be.

But with that, I also slowed down. I looked at what was an energy drain or an energy gain, what was helping my body and what was most definitely not.

Today, I feel stronger and more confident in my body, my mind and my life than I have in years.

That experience is at the heart of how I coach.

I understand that midlife can bring changes we are poorly prepared for — to our bodies, our energy, our confidence and sometimes our sense of who we are.

But I also believe this stage of life can be the beginning of something really positive and, not to sound too dramatic but, lifechanging!

Through realistic movement, strength training, balanced nutrition and achievable goals, I help women build stronger bodies and healthier habits without extremes, punishment or the pressure to be perfect.

For me, this isn't about trying to get back to a younger version...

It's about becoming stronger for the chapter you're about to step into.
